Crawford & Company's risk management services (RMS) team has embarked on a series of training sessions, sponsored by Forbes Solicitors, at Nottingham University.
The training is intended to develop technical excellence and encourage teamwork.
Kriss Akabusi was brought in for the course to talk about how teamwork won the British relay squad, which he was a member of, a gold medal at the 1991 Tokyo World Championships.
RMS managing director Simon Burley said such events were critical to the team's success.
"We understand that to provide a high level of customer service we have to work together as a team and adapt to ongoing changes in the market," he said.
