Law firm DLA has boosted its reinsurance/insurance team with the appointment of a new partner from Eversheds.
David Murphy will join the firm later this year, working alongside Charles Gordon and Neil Ellis, who head up DLA's insurance risk solutions (IRS) team.
DLA said Murphy had worked with clients ranging from Eagle Star, Terra Nova and Royal & SunAlliance.
His appointment will enable the firm to expand its London office, as well as explore opportunities for development in the South American region, said DLA.
It said his experience would complement the existing team, which concentrates on the London market, international dispute resolution for Lloyd's, and the company run-off market.
