Backchat was amused to see a couple of screen grabs sent in by a reader, showing some alerts sent to an AXA broker.

One pop-up urges brokers to take part in a Christmas draw; while another warns of changes to regulations relating to the treatment of goodwill on the balance sheet – changes that took place earlier this year.

“Our good friends at AXA appear to be operating in a totally different timeframe to the rest of us,” says Backchat’s source, who adds: “We have yet to capture the one stating their working hours over the Christmas period but will let you have this when we do.”
