Eastgate has launched a stress management service designed to minimise the impact of stress on small to medium-sized businesses and their employers.

The service, called Employment Plus Stress Management, is the first in a range of new employer services to be offered by Eastgate's Legal & Medical Services.

It provides:

  • a stress counselling helpline for employees
  • a legal information helpline for employers
  • a stress management service providing risk management advice based on non-confidential data gathered from the helplines
  • an employment manual and updates on stress related issues.

    Optional elements are also available

    to enhance the service:

  • legal expenses insurance
  • face-to-face counselling referral service
  • employee legal helpline.

    Commercial development manager Tom Sayer said: “Small and medium-sized employers are recognising the commercial benefits of focusing more closely on employee stress as a business risk, a risk that has a direct effect on the business's performance and profitability.”
