Ecclesiastical Insurance has announced the appointment of Niall McIntosh as casualty manager.

In this newly-created role, McIntosh will be responsible for overseeing policy and development of the company's casualty account.

He previously worked at Royal & SunAlliance in various underwriting roles and has more than 22 years' market experience.

McIntosh commented: "I am looking forward to the challenges facing the casualty market especially in some of the specialist sectors where Ecclesiastical has a very strong presence."

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
