Victoria Hotchkin resigns as part of restructural review

Following a structural review, Erinaceous Insurance Services has announced that John Boyle, currently managing director of subsidiary HomeLet, will also become managing director of Letsure.

As part of the restructuring, Victoria Hotchkin has resigned and will leave EIS in the near future. Sources close to the company said she would not be replaced.

Erinaceous bought Homelet in 2002 and leading tenant referencing business, Lumley Letsure, in March last year.

Executive chairman of EIS, Leslie Goodman said: "We are delighted that John Boyle is stepping up into this new expanded role. His knowledge of the business and markets will be of great help in ensuring that EIS builds on our market leading positions".

EIS has gross written premiums of approximately £160m.

Recent reports have suggested that Zurich have been in talks to buy the division of the property services group, with an asking price rumoured to be in the region of £100m. The company is set to announce the conclusion of its strategic review, which began in the autumn.
