Willis income rise

Willis reported net income for the second quarter of 2007 increased 8% to $78m

Aon risk business grows

Revenues at Aon's UK Risk Consulting business increased 14% for the second quarter of 2007, to $218m with organic growth of 6% excluding contingent commissions.

Munich Re hits €2.1bn

Munich Re reported a profit of €2.1bn (£1.43bn) for the first half of 2007, approximately two thirds of its original result target for the year as a whole.

Lancashire GWP surge

Bermuda based Lancashire Holdings reported gross written premiums of $451.5m for the first half of the year, an increase of 43% on the same period last year. It reported a combined ratio of 52.2%.

Swiss Re earnings rise

Swiss Re saw second quarter earnings rise 45% to £496m compared to the same period last year.

Park administration

Mike Walker and John Wardrop of KPMG were appointed joint administrators of London market broker Park London.
