Brokers feel pinch with cheap plonk
Some brokers at a London firm are having some difficulty with expenses, Backchat has learned – apparently their spending habits are somewhat restricted when compared to their broking rivals.
This is certainly a problem when it comes to wine. Apparently, there is a £30-per-bottle limit – to which one JLT broker scoffed: “We didn’t know you could get a bottle for under £30!”
But, according to Backchat’s JLT source, those canny boys at the rival broker have come up with a solution: they’re buying two half bottles for £30 each instead.
