FirstAssist is to develop group personal accident and business travel offerings, having appointed Paul Atkinson to develop the business.
Atkinson has been appointed to the role of group personal accident and travel manager, having previously worked for Sun Alliance, AIG and Tryg Baltica International.
Atkinson said: “FirstAssist aims to offer more than just a financial response in the event of an accidental death or injury to one of its insured persons.
“Through the provision of advice and assistance services, underpinned by sound insurance policies, we can help our clients demonstrate their concern for the well-being of their staff.
“Our personal accident product has the potential to enhance the image of the employer as one that recognises both the financial and emotional consequences of serious accidental injury.”
FirstAssist underwriting and claims director Peter Smith said the new offerings were part of the expansion of the FirstAssist brand in the healthcare and well-being sector.
Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
