The Rapidinsure website and aircraft underwriter Hiscox have combined to launch a new light aircraft policy for private flying enthusiasts.
The insurance is aimed at experienced pilots of aircraft weighing between 700 and 5,700 kilograms.
Pilots only need log on to Rapidinsure.co.uk and supply basic details such as passenger numbers, estimated annual flight time and claims' history to go from quote to cover in less than five minutes.
Rapidinsure director James Spalding said Hiscox had promised to pay agreed claims within four days or pay interest on the settlement.
“To date, Hiscox has never had to make an interest payment,” he said.
Rapidinsure is currently the Lycos Insurance Website of the Month, highly recommended by Motley Fool and a finalist in the Insurance Industry Website of the Year Award.
