Gocompare.com urges drivers to say “F-off” to rising costs, according to the curious and shamelessly populist headline of a press release sent by the aggregator this week.
If Backchat’s mother could hear this, she would be sorely tempted to wash Gocompare’s dirty mouth out with soap and water. But thankfully, the press release is actually about fuel offsetting.
So what’s F-off-ing then? It’s reducing your overall motoring costs by shopping around for your car insurance, which, Gocompare helpfully points out, could cover the increase in petrol prices over the past 12 months for the average driver.
