A former vice president with Jardine Lloyd Thompson (JLT), has joined Marsh to lead its global marine and energy practice.
James Pierce was named chairman of the practice. JLT also announced three new senior executive appointments.
Ken Fong, previously from JP Morgan Chase & Co., joined Marsh as its new chief human resources officer.
In addition, Joseph Varnas, formerly of UBS Global Asset Management, has been named global head of operations and information technology at the broker.
