After a successful trial, Fortis Insurance is rolling out its telephone-based Quick Quote system for commercial brokers.
Quick Quote is designed to improve service to Fortis' target market of small and medium sized commercial customers.
Fortis claims it will provide brokers with easy access to underwriters, who will call them back with a quote within ten minutes. Documentation can be delivered to the broker within 24 hours.
Fortis operations manager Shaun Astley said the system has been trialed with about 15 brokers for simple shop insurance products over the past month. "We've had a very positive response," he said.
Access to the system will be scaled up to around 80 brokers, and it will be gradually extended to its 3,500-strong broker base over the next few months. "Controlling the pace of the rollout is crucial in order to maintain our service standards," Astley said.
