London businesses are to be given financial incentives towards studying at the CII.
The Learning & Skills Council, the European Social Fund, Careers London and the CII have worked together to develop ‘Insuring Success', a program which will offer up to £1,000 towards SME employees and the self-employed in east and south-east London.
Steve Wellard, CII director of communications, said: “This is a great boost for the financial advice and broking community in east and south-east London. It will help firms and individuals working in these areas to fund training and qualifications.
“The industry needs to attract, develop and retain talent and this is a great opportunity for smaller organisations to demonstrate a structured career path with the validation of the industry's leading qualifications.”
Funding can be used towards specific CII qualifications with candidates looking to acquire the Certificate in Financial Planning or Certificate in Insurance.
