Fusion Insurance has created three senior positions to provide additional broker support.

Keith Jackson has been made general manager, north. His role will be to support the strategic development of Fusion's branches in Glasgow, Leeds and Manchester, said Fusion. Prior to his appointment, Jackson was executive manager for Scotland.

Steve Williams has been appointed general manager, south. He will carry out the same role as Jackson for the company's St Albans, Bristol, Birmingham and London branches. Prior to his appointment, Williams was executive manager for Bristol.

In addition, John Birchall has been named as strategic relationship manager. His main responsibility will be the coordination of activities aimed at servicing the specific needs of multi-location brokers. Prior to his appointment, Birchall was executive manager for Leeds.

Successors for all three men's previous positions will be announced shortly, said the company.

Fusion director Geoff Crisp, said: “We believe that working exclusively with brokers and using our resources to help them win new business and hang on to their existing clients is becoming increasingly important.

“In recent weeks, we have seen more activity from direct writers in the mid-market commercial sector and many brokers will be considering which insurers they should be working with.

“In their new roles John, Steve and Keith will put Fusion in an even stronger position to respond quickly to the changing needs of our 250 brokers and deliver the market leading products demanded by their clients.”
