Claire Hayward, regional manager with recruitment consultant firm Mansion House, asked whether the industry has the skilled people it needs.
"The FSA's involvement has had major implications on the level of competence in the market, forcing us all as organisations to look at it.
"Do we have people with the right level of competence? Are the right people in the right jobs? Are they qualified to go out and talk to our customers and our clients? We must also ensure we have the right skill levels within the market overall.
"We all want professional, competent, driven people, who can help us as companies to achieve the business goals and the profit that we all need to return to our shareholders.
"We want individuals that match the culture of our organisation and will offer something different to our external clients - people that are driven to achieve our goals."
