Insurance professionals responsible for staff training are invited to attend a meeting of the General Insurance Standards Council's training and competence forum.

The meeting, on December 7, at the Chartered Insurance Institute in London, is expected to be over-subscribed and bookings are advised to be made by September 29.

Senior figures from GISC and compliance industry are scheduled to speak at the event, including Chris Woodburn, GISC chief executive, Angela Darling, GISC head of policy and Trevor Newbery (Ernst & Young).

The organisers stress the forum will discuss training issues within the regulatory framework of GISC and not regulation itself. Full details of the event are available from the CII.
