Glencairn has appointed Nick Young as a partner in its risk solutions team, the property and casualty division of the company.
Young joins Glencairn from Agnew Higgins & Pickering, where he worked in property and energy classes with particular emphasis on US business.
He had previously been a vice-president of the London unit of CT Bowring, now Marsh Global Broking.
Glencairn said Young will focus on expanding the company's growing corporate client base in North America and will specialise in the production and placement of the group's North American property and energy portfolio.
