Coversure Insurance ServicesHuntingdon-based franchise group Coversure Insurance Services has appointed Allan Gambles as its new compliance manager, following the retirement of David Hague.
Gambles spent 15 years in middle and senior management roles with Royal & SunAlliance prior to joining Coversure in 2001. He will lead the project that provides a regulatory framework for the firm's 82 branches that have applied to be authorised independently by the FSA.
Nsure RenewablesNsure Renewables has appointed Charlie Richardson to assist in managing existing business and development of new accounts.Prior to joining Nsure, Richardson was branch manager at Endsleigh Insurance Services and quality controller at Norwich Union.Nsure Renewables specialises in providing insurance products and services for the renewable energy industry.
Riverbourne GroupCorporate insurance broker Riverbourne Group has appointed Simon Shaw as account executive at its Surrey office. Shaw will be responsible for managing the renewal book of business derived from the Southern region. He has 12 years' experience in the insurance industry. He joins Riverbourne from Helm, where he was a client manager.
Pavilion Insurance NetworkDavid Williams has been appointed as group managing director of Pavilion and managing director of Pavilion's main operating subsidiary, Pavilion Insurance Management. Williams joins from Pinnacle Insurance Group and has seven years' experience in insurance and warranties. He has been at Pinnacle since 1999 and was subsequently appointed as general manager within the underwriting and actuarial department.The appointment at Pavilion takes effect on 1 October 2004.
The Regency GroupPaul Aiston has been appointed as director of sales at Weston-super-Mare-based firm The Regency Group. Aiston has worked for The Regency Group for six years, most recently as national sales manager for the group's warranty division.The Regency Group has also promoted Liz Tyler to director of the group's motoring division, Regency F&I Services. Tyler has been at the group for two years, after joining as an operations manager. Tyler has more than 20 years' industry experience.Alison Williams has been appointed as the new business manager for The Regency Group. She has previously worked for GE Consumer Finance UK. Her most recent position was national training and development manager.
Thompson Heath and BondJane Joslin has been appointed director to the board of Thompson Heath and Bond Ltd, the Lloyd's broking arm of THB Group.Joslin joined THB in 2002 to take up the position of group internal audit manager to ensure sound corporate governance practices were developed, implemented and upheld within the businesses. She will continue to manage this function within the organisation.
D&D HomecareMortgage and payment protection insurance specialist D&D Homecare has appointed David McGill as head of sales, with effect from 16 August.McGill joins D&D from rival firm Paymentshield, where he was head of business partnerships. During his time with Paymentshield he has headed up the business development and agency support teams as well as being responsible for the team of national account managers.This announcement follows the appointment earlier this year of Glen Coultish to head of operations.
Zenith Zenith has promoted Andy Collier to assistant claims operations manager, based at the group's head office in Haywards Heath. Collier will be responsible for managing Zenith's dedicated teams of claim negotiators and administrators. He has worked at the Zenith group for three years.
Wellington UnderwritingWellington Underwriting has appointed Julian Hance to its board as a non-executive director. He will also chair the group's audit committee.After qualifying as a chartered accountant with Deloitte Haskins & Sells, Hance joined the Sun Alliance Insurance Group in 1986. In 1998 he was appointed group finance director of Royal & SunAlliance, a position he held until his retirement earlier this year.
Allianz CornhillGraham Knight has been appointed household product manager within Allianz Cornhill's personal lines division, assuming responsibility for household underwriting and product development. Knight joined Allianz Cornhill in 1999 as senior product developer and played a role in the delivery of Harmony, the company's first full-cycle EDI household product. He previously spent 12 years at Commercial Union (latterly CGU) in various senior branch and head office positions.
Sirius Sirius Financial Systems has appointed Jane Bromley as business strategy director. Bromley has worked for Hewlett Packard, Intel and Vodafone, and in the last few years has been working on consultancy assignments for clients such as Npower and Microsoft.Neil Atkins has been appointed as group marketing director of Sirius. Atkins has more than ten years' marketing and management experience. He previously headed up marketing at Intuit, a firm providing mass-market financial solutions for businesses and consumers.In addition, Sirius has appointed Richard Norman and Martin Wood as broking sales consultants within its intermediary systems division.Norman will focus on servicing the London and South East regions. Prior to his employment with Sirius, he spent several years with broking software house Sectornet.Wood's territory will be the North of England and Scotland. Prior to joining Sirius, he was regional sales manager at a specialist software company, following roles within Oracle and IAS.
