Royal & SunAlliance
Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA) has made a number of senior appointments to its professional and financial risks practice (ProFin).

Mark Hayward has been appointed regional manager based in Birmingham. He has worked for R&SA for the past 13 years, and will be responsible for the Midlands region, as well as overseeing the Bristol office.

Steven Moore has been appointed as senior technical underwriter based in Hertford, with responsibility for writing management assurance and personal accident business.

Also with responsibility for management assurance business, Paula Turnbull is appointed as senior technical underwriter in Croydon, and Sean Gilborson as development underwriter, based in Bristol.

Richard Tillett takes up the post of senior underwriter in ProFin's bonds unit.

Chubb Insurance
Chubb Insurance has appointed Dave Brosnan as commercial insurance manager for Chubb Europe, based in London.

Prior to relocating from the US, he was senior vice president and an underwriting officer for Chubb's commercial insurance division in the Northern Zone (US). He joined the company in 1986.

QBE
Andrew Davies has been appointed by QBE International Insurance to underwrite sabotage and terrorism insurance together with other specialist classes of insurance.

Davies joins the crisis management area of the speciality lines division to underwrite from The London Underwriting Centre.

Davies has over 12 years' specialist sabotage and terrorism experience. He was previously with HSBC Insurance Brokers and Willis.

CII
The Chartered Insurance Institute (CII) has announced the appointment of Brian Lawless as managing director of the Society of Financial Advisers (Sofa), the financial services arm of the CII. Lawless was previously managing director of Sun Life Technical Services and served as member of the Sofa board for four years.

Lucy Courtenay, currently CII head of quality and standards, takes on the new position of director of qualifications at the institute. She first joined the CII in 1999. After a spell at the Financial Services Authority (FSA) industry training department she rejoined the CII last year. She was also a member of the Sofa board.

Composite Legal Expenses
Julia Williams has joined Composite Legal Expenses as business development consultant. She will focus on the lawyer and insurance broker sectors and accident management products.

Also joining the firm is David Gilchrist. He has been appointed as schemes development manager. He recently qualified with a law degree from Bristol University, but worked with the firm as an undergraduate.

Brokers

Wilby
Halifax-based broker Wilby has appointed three new people to help drive the new business development of the company. Vincent Claxton has 17 years' experience, Jayne Moss has ten years' experience of the insurance industry and Phil Mayes has more than 14 years of underwriting experience.

Simon Verity has been appointed as an Independent Financial Advisor and has been employed in financial services for the last 15 years.

Bray Wintour Patis
Bray Wintour Patis has appointed two assistant directors in the professional indemnity (PI) division.

Nick Cox and Peter Newson are responsible for developing a portfolio of PI business and London Market broking. Newson will also be involved in implementing an IT scheme for small PI business.

Beckett Risk Management
Chris Greaves has been appointed agency and development manager by Beckett Risk Management.

Greaves joins from Norwich Union, where he worked for 12 years most recently as a business development manager based in Cambridge.

GAB Robins
GAB Robins Aviation has appointed Ron Richards as regional direector for the Americas, based in Fort Lauderdale, US.

Rob Burge is entering into a consultancy agreement with the company to realign his commitments, but will still be contactable through the London office.

Cunningham Lindsey
Cunningham Lindsey UK has appointed Graeme Monce as homes services business development director.

He joins from Capita McLarens and has more than 19 years' loss adjusting and claims management experience.

Premium Finance

Finsure
Wynn Roberts is appointed to managing director of NIG subsidiary Finsure. He will be running and developing Finsure's business activity, growing the business and addressing new markets.

Roberts' previous posts have been with QSP software solutions as strategic account director, regional manager at Aegon Insurance and prior to that, branch manager for Lloyd's Bank for 11 years.

Keoghs
Iain Tenquist has been taken on as a partner in the Bolton office to strengthen the firm's personal injury team.

Tenquist specialises in defendant personal injury dealing with catastrophic claims, in particular fatal accidents, brain injuries, paralysis and severe neurological conditions.

He joins from Morgan Cole where he was director of the general insurance division.

Crutes
David Johnson has joined Crutes as joint manager of the firm's recently formed fast track unit.

He is a fellow of the Institute of Legal Executives.

Technology

MMT Computing
MMT Computing has appointed Jon Parker as new senior consultant.

Parker has more than 16 years' consultancy, analyst and senior management experience in the financial sector including Britannia Building Society, LIFFE, Equitas and Citibank.

He was co-founder of a niche BPR consultancy that operated across Europe.

Rubicon
Rubicon, the insurance services provider, has appointed Wendy Frampton as head of corporate marketing with responsibility for brand planning.

A former director of Saatchi and Saatchi, and brand consultancy Leo Burnetts, Frampton has 20 years'experience of advertising, design and brand planning.

Rubicon has also appointed Quentin Colborn as HR director of the group.

Grant Thornton Forensic
Financial adviser Grant Thornton announces the appointment of Tom Heward to lead the newly created insurance claims solutions (ICS) team, which is part of the firm's forensic and investigations services practice.

Heward has over 30 years' experience in the insurance industry and joins from Capita McLarens where he was managing director of client services.

Ansa
Simon Maude, formerly operations manager, claims management services at Capita McLarens has joined ansa as product development manager.

Alliance Insurance Management
Alliance Insurance Management has appointed Peter Firmo to head up its new health management division.

Firmo joins Alliance after four years with PMI specialist PPP Healthcare and a further two working in the field of employee stress management and emotional well-being.
