Colin Robertson has been appointed assistant chief surveyor at Gloucester-based Ecclesiastical Insurance. Robertson has 16 years' experience in the industry and joins from Cornhill Insurance.

ACE Global Markets
Michael Duffy and Gordon Breslin have joined ACE Global Markets, the UK-based subsidiary of ACE Limited, as senior property underwriters. Peter Sprent has been appointed as senior political risks underwriter.

Prior to joining, Duffy was at Marsh Group for 11 years and most recently was the managing director responsible for running the facultative operation for Guy Carpenter in New York, having successfully set up the same operation in London.

Breslin was previously with Arthur J. Gallagher and was responsible for the major US binding authority business. Prior to that, he was with CNA Re as vice president, underwriting the US binder account.

Sprent was in charge of political risks for Europe, the Middle East and Africa at AIG, where he was also chief underwriting officer of AIG Uzbekinvest.

EULER Trade Indemnity.
EULER Trade Indemnity has appointed Doug Brunner as director of all commercial activities at the company.

Brunner returns to EULER Trade Indemnity from EULER Group subsidiary EULER American Credit Indemnity (EACI), where he has been chief executive officer for the past five years.

He has more than 30 years' experience in the credit insurance industry.

In 1970, he began his career at the then Trade Indemnity and held a number of senior underwriting, technical and sales positions at the company, culminating as a group executive director prior to his move to EACI in 1996.

Fabien Risk Services
Fabien Risk Services is a newly established broker based in Lloyd's of London.

The directors are Annette Greenhill, who was previously executive director of Pemberton Insurance Advisers, Shane Garvey, who joins from John Bannerman and Stewart O'Brien who was a UK underwriter at AXA Corporate Solutions.

The new broker specialises in professional indemnity (PI) insurance, directors' and officers' (D&O) liability insurance, warranty and indemnity insurance, intellectual property rights insurance and general liability for all professions.

Sagar Insurances
Lancashire-based broker Sagar Insurances announces that 20-year-old Jason Lewicki from Oswaltwistle, Lancashire recently qualified as one of the the youngest people in the UK to gain a modern apprenticeship in insurance. Lewicki was educated at St Christopher's School in Accrington where he was head boy before leaving with 9 GCSEs. He joined Sagar Insurances as a modern apprentice in August. To date he has gained an NVQ Level 2 & Level 3 in insurance, NVQ Level 3 in customer services and the Insurance Foundation Certificate.

Marsh
Insurance broking firm Marsh has appointed Henry Cooke as head of its ERM (Enterprise Risk Management) Transactions practice in Europe.

He joins from Nomura International, where he was co-head of securitisation in its debt markets.

Donns Solicitors
Personal injury law firm Donns Solicitors has appointed Bob Dawson to the newly created position of head of employer's liability (EL) and public liability (PL) claims handling department.

Dawson has more than ten years' experience of personal injury for insurance companies. He joins from Gallagher Bassett where he specialised in handling EL and PL claims on behalf of local and police authorities.

Lane Clark & Peacock
Lane Clark & Peacock announce the appointment of five new partners, Tracey Scott, Aaron Punwani, Mark Folwell, Richard Soldan and Joe Monk. Existing partner Mark Nicoll has been appointed a principal.

ServiceMaster UK
ServiceMaster UK has promoted Scott Robinson to director of marketing and communications. His new role includes overseeing account management and customer relationship management.

Before joining ServiceMaster UK, Robinson worked in the claims sector for AXA, Crawford and Company, Toplis and Harding and PCS.

He is also a past president of the Insurance Institute of Kendal.

Deloitte & Touche
Deloitte & Touche has appointed Angus Tucker as business development director, business insurance consulting operations.

Tucker joins Deloitte & Touche from GAB Robins, the global loss adjusting firm, where he was account services director. He is also currently honorary secretary of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters.

Tucker will be working with Deloitte's Business Insurance Consulting operations worldwide to ensure a consistent product for global clients.

Brownsword
Brownsword announces the appointment of four new claims technicians. Mark Jackson and Karen Robertson join the head office in Manchester from MIA and Eagle Star respectively. Sarah Crowhurst joins the Brentwood office, having worked previously at Equity Redstar and Vincent Sherman. David Tompkins also joins the Brentwood office, having previously worked at Crowe.
