Fusion Insurance has appointed Neil Willetts ACII to the position of regional risk control manager for its Midlands area. Willetts joins Fusion with more than 27 years' surveying experience gained from a variety of insurance companies including Ecclesiastical, Independent, Prudential and Zurich. His main areas of experience include commercial property and liability risks.
Cornhill Schemes
Cornhill Schemes has appointed Graham Norris as divisional manager, operations. Norris joined Cornhill in 1980 and gained experience in roles such as branch manager and business development manager before transferring to Hong Kong in 1993 to take up a variety of positions within Allianz. In 2000, Norris moved to India where he headed up Allianz's joint venture operation.
Cathedral Syndicate 2010
John Hamblin has been appointed as the new active underwriter at Cathedral Syndicate 2010, following Lloyd's regulatory approval. Hamblin has more than 25 years' experience of the Lloyd's market. He takes over as active underwriter from Elvin Patrick, who founded the syndicate last year, and who has become Cathedral's director of underwriting. Mark Wilson and Richard Williams, also founding members, complete the senior underwriting team, and continue to write the non-marine and aviation reinsurance accounts.
Royal & SunAlliance
David Smith (previously operations director, North) has assumed the role of director of operations at Royal & SunAlliance (R&SA), responsible for leading the area network outside London. Existing area directors George Maxwell (Scotland and Northern Ireland) and Chris Brown (Midlands and West) will report to Smith. Four further area directors are being appointed. Cath Timberlake will be responsible for the North East, Steve Williams for the North West, Kevin Simmons for North London and East Anglia and Keith Culling for the South East.
Smart & Cook Group
Insurance and financial services group Smart & Cook has appointed Jon Duke as personnel manager, based at its Harrogate head office. Having gained 21 years' experience across a range of disciplines in the financial services and recruitment industries, Duke will be involved in all personnel matters, including recruitment and retention, and training and development.
Allan Chapman & James
Allan Chapman & James has created a new senior management role to co-ordinate the company's response to its expanding corporate client base. After four years as a senior account executive, John Claffey has been appointed as head of corporate risks within the company.
Bell & Co
David Elliot has been appointed corporate risks director at Derby-based Bell & Co, member of the Willis Commercial Network. He previously worked for the Belvedere Group in Nottingham and has also worked for Hogg Robinson and Bland Bankart.
Holmes Hardingham
Tim Houghton has been appointed as an associate of maritime law firm Holmes Hardingham. Richard Dinkeldein has joined the firm as practice manager from the Hospitality Foundation. His previous appointments include that of finance director at Lillywhites and Anchor Hotels.

Eamon Brown has been appointed non-marine underwriting manager at GE Frankona Re, leading the property, engineering and casualty underwriting teams in the UK non-life business. He was previously casualty underwriting manager and has more than 25 years' experience in London Market insurance and reinsurance.
Rainbow
Rainbow International has appointed Adrian Morton to head up the national accounts team, based in its Nottinghamshire office. Morton will be responsible for developing relationships with insurance companies, loss adjusters, brokers, assistance companies and some insurance intermediaries.
Datapol
Colin Carslake has joined Datapol as business development manager. He will be responsible for setting up the company's London office. Carslake has more than 21 years' experience in the insurance industry and joins from the Guarantee Society, a wholly owned subsidiary of CGNU, where he was operations manager for the crime and fidelity division. Previously he worked for the General Accident Group and Commercial Union Group.
Kwik-Fit
Kwik-Fit Insurance Services has appointed managing director Eric Sanderson as chairman. Commercial director Martin Oliver takes over as managing director. Sanderson joined Kwik-Fit Insurance Services in 1999 and was appointed managing director at the end of that year. He was previously chief executive of the British Linen Bank, Bank of Scotland's merchant bank, before being appointed chief executive of Bank of Scotland's Treasury operations.Oliver joined Kwik-Fit in 1995 as financial controller before being appointed finance director later that year. He was appointed commercial director at the company in 1999. He was previously with Britannia Life as finance manager.
Proactive Rehabilitation Services
Proactive Rehabilitation Services has made two appointments. Occupational therapist Stephen Barker and neurological physiotherapist Nicola Cockett will operate as rehabilitation case managers having previously been in specialist NHS community rehabilitation teams.
