FM Global has appointed Chris Oatten and Helena Richards as account managers in its Windsor-based UK operations.

Oatten has more than 12 years' experience in insurance. He previously worked for Guardian Royal Exchange and, more recently, as an area underwriter within the London Property Department at Independent Insurance.

Richards has worked in insurance for nine years. She also comes from Independent's London Property Department. At FM Global, she will specialise in property underwriting and risk management for UK headquartered industrial and commercial clients.

BHSF
BHSF has appointed three directors.

Michael P Chapman has been appointed human resource and quality management director. He joined BHSF in March, having spent 32 years with Lucas (now TRW) in a variety of training and HR roles.

Brian Hall has been appointed sales and marketing director. Before joining BHSF earlier this year, he was district sales manager for Combined Insurance Company for eight years.

Andrew Macaulay has been appointed non-executive director. He is vice president, business development, Europe for Lupin, a major international pharmaceutical company.

Co-operative Insurance Society
Co-operative Insurance Society (CIS) has appointed Andrew Gilchrist as group development manager of its new group pensions arm. He will be responsible for the sales and sales support of group solutions; the new division that will see CIS take its group AVC and stakeholder products to the intermediary market.

Gilchrist has more than 30 years' experience in intermediary sales and operational management with Royal Life, latterly Royal & SunAlliance and, more recently, as managing director of Britannia Building Society's IFA subsidiary.

Groupama
Groupama Insurances has appointed Paul Gladwin as high net worth underwriting manager. Joining the team in Portsmouth, his role will include assisting in the research and development of a new product targeting this niche area and helping to build the necessary operational structure to support this class of business.

He brings with him some 20 years of experience with Norwich Union and Independent Insurance, where he was the home underwriting manager for the past three years.

Towry Law
Towry Law has appointed Will Chiles as its new healthcare consultant. He will be responsible for advising exisiting and prospective clients on healthcare strategy and negotiating and developing a range of bespoke healthcare packages.

Chiles joined Towry Law from PPP Lifetime, where he worked for six years in a variety of positions.

Midland Broker Alliance
Midland Broker Alliance has appointed Rod Carbery as a director of operations. He was previously a director of Hogg Robinson and Citicorp and, more recently, has done consultancy work for clients including AA Insurance Services and Bain Hogg. He is also a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

The Innovation Group
Edward J Ossie has been appointed executive director of the board at The Innovation Group (TiG), as chief operating officer for North America/Asia Pacific region.

Ossie has extensive US and international operational experience in software solutions. Since 1996, he has been president and chief executive of MTW and previously worked for Texas Instruments software division as vice president and general manager for the Americas for seven years.

James Chapman
James Chapman has made two appointments. Lynne Carrick-Leary has been appointed marketing manager and Alan Lloyd takes up the post of office manager.

Carrick-Leary was previously marketing manager with Norwich Union's engineering division. In addition to a wide-ranging marketing communications role, she will work closely with the firm's three key departments - personal injury, professional indemnity and commercial.

Lloyd joins from Manchester law firm Halliwell Landau, where he worked for ten years.

Searchlight Solutions
Tracey Edden has been promoted to the post of associate director. She will be providing a full support service for Searchlight's training, consultancy and recruitment clients.

Premium Credit
Cristian Jackson has joined Premium Credit personal lines division as head of sales and development. Jackson was previously director of personal lines with Prompt.

Jackson is responsible for all broker-sourced business throughout the UK.

He has been involved in the personal lines premium finance market for five years. He also has three years' experience in commercial sales.

Singer & Friedlander Insurance Finance
Singer & Friedlander Insurance Finance has appointed Ian Jerrum as joint managing director.

Jerrum brings extensive experience in premium funding, having previously held the position of managing director at Transamerica Insurance Finance Company (Europe) (TIFCO) prior to its purchase by competitor Prompt in 2000. He has also held a variety of senior positions within Eagle Star and at CNA Insurance.

He joined TIFCO as managing director in 1998, presiding over the turnaround in the company's fortunes to double annual sales over two years.

Resolve
Resolve has appointed Tim Cramer-Todd as consultant and associate director, business development.

Charles Taylor Consulting
Charles Taylor Consulting, the global advisory group, has appointed Paul May to the board. His responsibilities include strategic HR. May, a past president of the Chartered Institute of Loss Adjusters (CILA), is chairman of Resolve International, which was acquired by Charles Taylor Consulting in May 2001.

Elliston (UK)
Elliston (UK) has recruited Ian Fordham, Phil Priest and Rosie Vaughan to join its London insurance/reinsurance consultancy.

Alexander Forbes Risk Services Businesses
Alexander Forbes has implemented a streamlined management structure for its retail risk services. Managing director David Batchelor, who also serves on the management board of Alexander Forbes Risk Services, heads the new, five-strong executive team.

The other members of the team are Mike Williams (commercial and personal lines), Gavin Searle (London), Jon Hettle (Central and Scotland) and Tim Wilson (Southern and Ireland).
