XL Brockbank
Lloyd's managing agency XL Brockbank has promoted Ann-Louise Seago to the position of deputy class underwriter for syndicate 861's specie account, which comprises fine art, jewellers block, armoured car business and any other interests of suitably high value.
She has been with XL Brockbank since 1995 when she joined as underwriting assistant following three years at CE Heath.

Allianz Cornhill has appointed Suzanne Chesterton to the role of personal lines marketing manager. She was previously head of marketing at Barclays Mercantile.

Alleghany Underwriting has announced that Darren Redhead has been appointed to a wider group role at AUL, with responsibility for outwards reinsurance.

He deals with a wide range of aviation law specialisations, including accident and liability work, product liability and global and UK commercial litigation.
DLA
DLA has announced the appointment of insurance and reinsurance litigator Charles Gordon, who joins the company as a partner. Before joining DLA, Gordon headed up the insurance group at Manches, and prior to that he spent periods working for Carter Faber and Clifford Turner.

Sterling Hamilton Wright has announced that Stephen Duffy has been promoted to head up the agency management and marketing division. He joined the company in 1993 as account executive in the York office, was promoted to head of the York team in September 1997 and became director in 1999.

Marsh, one of the world's biggest brokers, have appointed Maureen Batten to their public risk services team in Scotland. She joins with specific responsibility for developing Marsh's strategic risk services within the public sector.

Leading London-based claims and insurance management services provider Claims Management Group (CMGL) has appointed Andrew Smith, who joins from Omni Whittington. He will take on the role of account manager.

ABS bodyshop services has made two new appointments to the post of regional network manager.
Robert Proctor assumes responsibility for ABS in the South East and has spent more than two decades in the body repair industry, including periods spent at Dagenham Motors, Burton and Deakin and at Nationwide Crash Repair Centres.
Timothy White will look after the ABS Midland region and has similar levels of experience, including 14 years at CD Bramhall, that saw him rise from panel beater to assistant manager.

He will be responsible for working with insurance companies on leading- edge strategic, operational and technology issues. He joins Deloitte from Accenture, where he was one of the top strategy consultants.
