NIG has appointed four new assistant general managers. Adrian Harris has been appointed to AGM Personal Lines, Ken Newman to Technical Claims, Mike Rapley to Special Risks and John Craig to Finance and Administration.

Ecclesiastical Insurance
Rob Cawthorne has joined Ecclesiastical Insurance as manager of the new corporate government department. The unit brings together the group's secretarial, legal, compliance and internal audit functions, as well as the quality improvement unit.

Beazley
Lloyd's managing agent Beazley has appointed Adrian Lewers as class underwriter. He will be involved in the continued expansion of Beazley and development of the political, contract frustration and credit risk business.

St Paul International
St Paul International has appointed Graeme Roberts as a marketing executive in its marketing team. He will be primarily looking at developing product and corporate websites. Previously, he worked for VNU Business Online and the BBC.

RJ Wallace
Jon White has been appointed as underwriter at RJ Wallace Syndicates. He was previously at CGNU's City operation for the past eight years, most recently as senior liability underwriter at their City Basildon office.

Old Mutual
Insurance group Old Mutual has appointed a new financial controller. Raja Ram will be responsible for all group accounting functions and will report to group finance director Julian Roberts. Ram was formerly a senior manager and practice leader in the insurance division of Pricewaterhousecoopers.

Norwich Union Healthcare
Norwich Union Healthcare has appointed two new directors.
Mark Hews, formerly the company's head of actuarial services, becomes director of finance. Rob Horrocks, formerly business contral and quality manager, becomes director of customer services.

Broker Network
Chris Ball has been appointed as business development manager at Harrogate-based The Broker Network. His primary role will be providing business management support to commercial broker members. Ball was previously with Royal & Sunalliance for 28 years, including four years in Saudi Arabia.

Chem-Dry UK
Disaster restoration company Chem-Dry UK has appointed Mark Kennedy as technical and quality co-ordinator. Kennedy has 17 years' experience as a loss adjuster and joins Chem-Dry UK from Cunningham Lindsey, where he was a regional training manager.

David Crick has joined Brokersure.co.uk as national sales manager. He will co-ordinate the implementation of its internet-based booking system. He was previously regional manager at Argent Insurance and has 18 years experience in personal lines broking.

Equifax
Tony Wilson has joined Equifax as its head of commercial information services. He will be particularly focusing on providing customer support, enabling better risk management and improved bottom-line profitability. He was previously managing director of GE Capital Mortgage.

Holman Fenwick & Willan
Holman Fenwick & Willan has appointed five new partners to reinforce the firm's key practice areas and provide specialist support. They are Jennifer Thompson, Nick Barr, Andrew Dekany, Richard Mabane and John Champion.

Hammond Suddards Edge
Hammond Suddards Edge has promoted three commercial insurance solicitors to partnership in the first round of promotions since the merger between Hammond Suddards and Edge Ellison last year. Ian Welland has relocated from London to head the team in Birmingham. Jason Ford is based in Leeds and Andrew McLeod works in the company's Manchester office.

GAB Robins
GAB Robins has added two divisional directors to its liability team. Jeff Stagg and Brian Tunnah have both joined from McLarens Toplis where they were senior members of the casualty division. Stagg will be based in London and Tunnah in Manchester.

Lloyd's broker Thompson Heath & Bond (THB) has appointed Brian Watson, formerly chairman of Watson, Stow & Croton, as an executive director of THB North America.

Chris Sullivan has joined the retail division of The Bollington Group. He will assist in the development of the group's personal lines and small commercial account.
