Paul Drake has been appointed underwriting development manager at XL Brockbank. He has more than 20 years' experience in the Lloyd's market and was previously property and accident and health underwriter at Cottrell and Maguire.

Folgate Insurance
Folgate Insurance has made three appointments to its Midlands and northern regional team. Paul Holden joins as senior regional surveyor. He previously held surveying roles with British Reserve, Legal & General, Ecclesiastical and Lombard. John Simms joins as senior development underwriter for the North East. He was previously area underwriting manager for Norwich Union. Susan Speight joins as sales executive. She was previous underwriter with major insurers such as Orion, DAS, GRE and AXA.

Chaucer Insurance
Pat Carney has been appointed IT manager of Chaucer Insurance. He was previously head of business systems at Orion Insurance.

Capital Healthcare
Neil Higgins has been appointed sales director of healthcare company Capital Healthcare. He will be heading a team of seven divisional managers and a nationwide sales force of 3,000 people. He has extensive experience in the field, having worked for a number of companies including Bupa and Norwich Union.

Rigton Insurance Services makes three appointments. John Read is appointed development manager, Sharon Queripel is appointed commercial broker, and Susan Baldwin is appointed administrator.

Gillian Hall is joining Hart Owens Risk Management, a division of Hart Owens Group.

FMW makes three appointments. Paul Cockman, Gary Walker and Ian Cracknell have all been appointed account executives.

E-djuster
Peter Carlisle has joined E-djuster as commercial director for the UK. He previously worked for Claims Direct as commercial director.

Langleys Solicitors
Ken Benson has been appointed claims investigator for the insurance department of Langleys Solicitors in North Yorkshire. He was previously at NFU Mutual where he worked for 40 years.

Rarrigini & Rosso Group
Broker services support provider Rarrigini & Rosso Group (R&R) has appointed Chris Hobbs as sales director of 24-7 Broking. Hobbs was previously UK sales manager of ACE Europe, where he was responsible for broker development, along with a number of ecommerce trading platforms. Prior to joining ACE, Hobbs was national sales manager at Independent Insurance.
