Ann Beswick and Bob Court have joined the north west regional underwriting team of Groupama.
Beswick will be regional manager and Court will be regional underwriting controller.
Chaucer
Alan Woodcock has joined Chaucer Insurance, syndicate 587 at Lloyd's, to head a new non-standard motor underwriting team. He will focus on non-private car risks as part of a planned development of the product range. He was formerly managing director and co-founder of Sabre Insurance. Ecclesiastical Derek Thomson has been appointed the manager of claims operations at Ecclesiastical.
He was previously manager at East West and joined the company 18 months ago. Former property claims section leader Grant Ferguson has been appointed business relationship manager. In addition, Adam Gittins has been appointed branch manager at Ecclesiastical's Bristol and Cardiff offices.

Claire Hazlehurst has been appointed motor underwriting manager at MMA Insurance.
St Paul
David Batey and Stephen Brown have joined St Paul International as regional underwriters.
Batey will work with brokers in the West Midlands region. He was previously at Chubb.
Brown is based in Bolton and will work with brokers covering part of the north west. He was previously at Fortis.
DAS
Diane Willshire has been appointed development manager, broker business, at DAS legal expenses.
She will oversea the tele-servicing teams created last year in response to agents' preferences.

CS Rand
Carl Dix has been appointed sales director of CS Rand. He will be responsible for the continued management of existing accounts throughout the management of the sales force.
Crawford
Crawford has elected a new chief executive officer. Grover Davis, who has worked in the company for more than 25 years and is its president and chief operating officer, will replace Archie Meyers as chief executive from April 1. Meyers focused mainly on international operations and will continue as board chairman.

Nicola Ingram has been appointed vocational rehabilitation case manager at PCS. She joins from the Rehab UK Brain Injury Vocational Centre, where she managed the reintroduction of brain-injured individuals back into the workplace.

Donns Solicitors has promoted Nicola Lunt to associate. She first joined the company in 1989 working in criminal and conveyancing.

Berrymans Lace Mawer
Orla Turley has joined the dedicated police work unit of Berrymans Lace Mawer. She specialises in claims against the police, such as wrongful arrest, assault and malicious prosecution.
Recently, Turley was appointed both secretary and treasurer of the Police Defence Lawyers Forum.

Nigel Rolfe has been appointed head of sales and marketing at Claimsplus. He was previously national sales manager at Arval PHH Vehicle Solutions.

Lathams
Chris Ryan has been appointed senior manager of the compensation unit at the accountants Lathams.
He will work alongside John Reynard in the nine-strong team. Ryan was previously at DBS Financial Management where he was recruitment and development manager. The bespoke unit was set up three months ago to deal with the increase in damages claims.
