Chubb
Chubb Europe has appointed Dirk Clement personal lines unit manager for Belgium and the Netherlands.Clement, who joined Chubb Europe two years ago, will run the personal lines service centres for both countries and focus on growth, profitability and improved service.

Independent Insurance has appointed Stephen Albutt as casualty underwriting manager. Albutt joined Independent from Groupama, where he was technical services and pricing director. Meanwhile Independent has poached City lawyer Jane Attwood to be its new group company secretary. Attwood moves to Independent from Davies Arnold Cooper and replaces John Blakemore who has joined the main board of directors and is responsible for corporate development.
Cornhill
Cornhill Insurance's Lawclub Legal Protection division has made a number of new appointments to its marketing division. Steven Skeldon started as marketing manager last month. He joined Sue Winfield and Heledd Williams, who began working as marketing advisers in June. The team is completed by Angela Anthony, who has been a marketing officer at Lawclub for more than three years.
XL Capital
Bermuda-based XL Capital has rearranged its executive management responsibilities for insurance, reinsurance and financial products and services. XL president Nicholas Brown has been appointed chief executive for insurance operations, including the company's Lloyd's operations. XL Mid Ocean Reinsurance president Henry Keeling has been made chief executive for reinsurance operations.
XL chief financial officer Robert Lusardi will continue in the position until his successor is chosen, then become chief executive for financial products and services. XL Capital Products president Bruce Connell will become group underwriting officer and The Brockbank Group chief executive officer Mark Brockbank will take early retirement. He will continue to act as a consultant to XL. XL Mid Ocean, XL Capital Products and The Brockbank Group are all subsidiaries of XL Capital.

Ebusiness integrators New Era of Networks (Neon) has appointed Fiona Jarvis as sales manager for its insurance sector. Jarvis, the founder of the Insurance Executive Club, has worked in insurance
for more than 10 years.

Policy Master has appointed a number of new staff to sell its new Sirius broking system. Policy Master salesman Tim Burrill will head the new sales team as national sales manager. Ian Arnott, Grant Scott, and Andrew Dale have been appointed account managers.

Crutes has appointed Paul Forster as partner overseeing its commercial litigation team. Forster, who specialises in civil litigation, commercial, contract and property disputes, has been a partner at Burnetts in Carlisle for the past six years.

Personal injury specialists Donns Solicitors has appointed Gary Miles as director of claims.
Miles will oversee new and existing insurance contracts and build the firms market share of the personal injury, uninsured loss recovery, small claims and litigation sectors.

Tim Blake has rejoined Carmichaels as a partner after a seven-year break from the company.
Blake, who has 25 years' loss adjusting experience in both the UK and US, has returned to take responsibility for marketing and general commercial business. Carmichaels has also be joined by Clare Hindle, from GAB Robins, who will work as a claims adjuster.

Affinity marketing consultancy Affinity Solutions has appointed four new staff members to its sales and consulting teams.Richard Gorely is the new business development director, Peter Abel is associate director of business development, Tony Hills is associate director and Matthew Hunt is senior analyst.
All four previously worked in the affinity division of global broker Marsh & McLennan.
Winchester White
Management consultancy Winchester White has appointed Andrew Bower as senior consultant.
Bower was previously a consultant at CGNU's international broker unit.
