Primary Group subsidiaries, Primary International Healthcare and Goodhealth Worldwide, are joining forces to trade under the name Goodhealth.
Both companies target the expatriate and local national markets.
Goodhealth Worldwide has offices in the Middle East, Far East and the UK, while Primary International's core strengths have traditionally been in Europe.
Customers will be offered a modular approach to policy cover with a core product being sold as standard and a menu of options available for those who want to top up cover with a module that is relevant to their personal needs.
As an alternative, a package plan has been designed for European policyholders.
Joint managing director John Bibby said: “Our new approach to international healthcare will reinforce our position as a major force within the market.
“Two companies will now share common goals and beliefs in such a way as to deliver a constant stream of innovative products to the market, giving us a competitive edge and dynamic presence on the global stage.”
