A new website launched this week will allow the public immediate information of flood warnings in England and Wales.
The site, www.environment-agency.gov.uk/floodwarning, will complement the Environment Agency's online floodplain maps launched during the height of
last Autumn's floods.
The service will include national summaries of flood warnings in force and allow access to local and national media reports to support this information.
The site can withstand one million page views a day and is updated every 15 minutes.
