More comprehensive cover aimed at firms with a reduced workforce

Firms that have cut back on staff could benefit from Groupama’s improved personal accident policy. The insurer has boosted its accident cover to include increased death benefit and greater compensation for catastrophic injury.

Head of personal accident and travel Neil Thunström said: “Small businesses by their nature are heavily dependent on key individuals within the workforce to keep the business going. In these tough times, as many firms downscale their workforce, it’s critical that brokers help them to understand the benefits of personal accident cover.

“This cover not only helps a business if an accident occurs, but supports the employee and their families.”

The policy also includes £5,000 funeral expenses per insured person and retraining up to the age of 70.

The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
Many congratulations to all the worthy winners and as always, huge thanks to our sponsors for their support and our judges for their expertise.
