Lloyd’s insurer Hardy Underwriting has appointed Tom Phillipson to complete the formation of its new financial institutions underwriting team.
Hardy said the team writing the niche class would lead business across a range of institutions. It will have limited US exposure, but an otherwise broad geographical scope, said the company.
Syndicate 382 offers bankers’ blanket and PI cover on a ‘claims made basis’, but is not taking on any D&O liability exposure.
Phillipson has been underwriting financial institutions business as Lloyd’s since 2000, said Hardy.
