Ex-Independent Insurance director Andy Hawkes is to leave Rarrigini and Rosso (R&R) just over six months after taking the position of managing director.
R&R Group confirmed that Hawkes will be leaving the business in the near future.
CEO Julie Rodilosso said: "Changing business requirements have meant there is no longer a role of managing director - Rarrigini & Rosso, and the position is redundant.
"Our insurance business continues to demonstrate rapid growth and we are expanding the number of sales and support staff on our key accounts. We wish Andy well in his future endeavours."
Hawkes helped pioneer Independent's businessrisk.com initiative. Soon after he helped St Paul to roll out online access to real-time claims data.
