Motor insurer Highway has appointed Peter Gallagher as its catastrophic injury claims manager.
Gallagher was previously at St Paul Re where he was claims manager for a casualty treaty account.
He is also chairman of the legal section of the IUA/ABI Third Bodily Injury Awards Study which is due to be published shortly.
Highway claims director Stuart Davies said: "Peter will work closely with our reinsurance and technical claims units to efficiently resolve large claims."
