Motor insurer Highway has appointed Steve Loose as operations director of its retail division.
Loose will assume responsibility for Direct Motorline, Elite Underwriting and A Quote Insurance Services, three of Highway's subsidiaries.
Prior to joining Highway, Loose worked for Budget for ten years in a variety of senior operational roles.
In his new role, his key responsibilities will include leading and providing a clear focus for all staff within the three subsidiaries; developing and delivering Highway Retail's strategy and providing an integrated and flexible business unit.
Paul Cosh, managing director, Highway Retail, said: "Since Highway Retail launched in June 2004, we have acquired a number of brokers and achieved considerable growth. But there has been a need to integrate our subsidiaries in order to maximise their potential."
