Ellesmere Port has announced that it has initiated a management buyout of the Ford Motor Company's stake in the company.

Repair group Ellesmere Port has announced that it has initiated a management buyout of the Ford Motor Company's stake in the company.

Tracy Howard will take up a new position as Chairman, while Neil Kirk will continue as managing director.

Managing director Neil Kirk said: "We have enjoyed an excellent business relationship with Ford over the last three and one half years. With Ford's stated intent to focus on their core automotive operations, we've come to mutual agreement that this is best for both companies.

Ford Motor Company CFO Dominic DiMarco said: "We are pleased to have reached an agreement with the current management team. Howard Basford is a good business and we're confident that the new owners will continue its success."
