Howden, the Lloyd's broker specialising in business critical risks, has appointed Neil Bullivant as operations manager.

Bullivant joins Howden from Aon where he was operations director for the global client solutions North America division, and a member of the senior management team.

At Howden he will be working closely with the CEO, Tim Coles, to improve performance management, deliver improved efficiencies and manage Howden's growth, to achieve its aggressive targets both in the UK and overseas.

Tim Coles said: “Howden has experienced considerable growth over the past few years and we expect to grow a further 30% next year. Neil will play a central role in this growth"

Bullivant said his aspirations for the company were three fold: "firstly, to ensure the Howden business is structured and operating efficiently whilst taking advantage of the different market-wide initiatives to support our business model.

"Secondly, to ensure that the Howden business platform can integrate and realise the benefit of acquisitions in the shortest period of time.

"Finally, to position the Howden businesses in London and around the world to operate as a single operation from which to deliver to our clients unrivalled service and solutions, to continue Howden's double digit growth.”
