Biba conference delegates look forward to several celebrity speakers.

Pop celebrity turned anti-poverty campaigner Bob Geldof (pictured) was set to entertain thousands of delegates at Biba’s 30th annual conference, being held in Glasgow this week. Geldof, the star turn, was due to deliver the keynote address tomorrow. Other speakers included Biba chief executive Eric Galbraith, chair Derek Thornton and BBC security correspondent Frank Gardner.

The theme of this year’s conference, which ends tomorrow, is Influencing Tomorrow, with presentations on terrorism and global warming as well as key market issues. The 2025 Insurance Times Awards took place on the evening of Wednesday 3rd December in the iconic Great Room of London’s Grosvenor House.

Hosted by comedian and actor Tom Allen, 34 Gold, 23 Silver and 22 Bronze awards were handed out across an amazing 34 categories recognising brilliance and innovation right across the breadth of UK general insurance.
