Benfield Greig Group has appointed two new people – Rod Fox and Paul Karon, who join BGG North American Operations. They both join from E W Blanch.
Stephen Haynes is appointed broker sales consultant at private medical insurance company BCWA Healthcare. His role will be to build up the company's presence in London and the south east of England.
Zurich Global Energy
James D Miller is appointed chief engineering underwriter at Zurich Global Energy. In his new role he will be responsible for offshore upstream construction business and for the risk analysis of offshore construction projects. He joins from American International Group.
Sian Aspinall is appointed to the Zurich Specialities London's Political Risk team. She will help provide global political risk solutions for infrastructure developers and international financial institutions.
Thompson Heath & Bond
Colin Jones is appointed to the board of directors at Lloyd's brokers Thompson Heath & Bond. Colin has five years experience in Thompson Heath & Bond and in his new role will be responsible for strategic development and management of their Speciality Markets operation.
Nelson Hurst Professional Indemnity
Nelson Hurst Professional Indemnity has appointed three new solicitors. Geoffrey King is appointed as director. Robin Bayly and Stephen Holland are appointed divisional directors. All three join from Aon Risk Services and were previously indemnity specialist at the LIB and Minet advising solicitors on their professional indemnity and general insurance requirements.
Sam Marshall is appointed business development director for UK based Miller Firstline. Marshall will be responsible for identifying and winning new clients and for increasing existing client sales. He previously worked for second mortgage finance specialist Firstplus Financial Group where his responsibilities was in the area of business development and developing market entry strategies.

Myra Fleming is appointed medical case manager for Property & Casualty Services. Fleming has over 15 years experience in senior nursing management positions working with orthopaedic/trauma and rheumatology patients.
Davies Wallis Foyster
Carl Bruder and Gavin Perry have both become partners in law firm Davies Wallis Foyster. They both will be based at the company's Liverpool office. Bruder joined the firm in 1990 will head up the firm's licensing team and specialises in licensing advocacy. Perry joined the company in 1994 and specialises in credit hire litigation for insurers.
OASIS Global Systems
Keith Templeman is appointed director of IT at OASIS Global Systems. In his new role his responsibilities will include integration amongst the wide diversity of companies and organisations in the automotive industry using OASIS solutions.
Paul Rew is appointed group legal director and company secretary of Claims Direct. His move from Littlewoods is the last of three board-level appointments as Claims Direct prepares for flotation and full market listing later this year. Rew joins a board already newly strengthened by the appointments of Roger Plantier as marketing director, moving from head of marketing operations at Wesleyan Financial Services Group, and Paul Doona as finance director moving from a similar position at St Modwen Properties.
Steve Quiddington is appointed managing director of the members service unit at Lloyd's. He joins from Natwest Group where he was director of strategy, retail and commercial business.
