Nick Chambers is appointed southeast business development manager at farm insurance specialist, Agricultural Insurance Underwriting Agencies. He previously worked for Norwich Union and was one of their top business development consultants, winning an achievement award in 1998.

Beazley
Andy Bettis is appointed underwriter at Beazley, a Lloyd's syndicate. He was previously an associate director at Alexander Forbes.

Goshawk Insurance Holdings
Paul Simmonds is appointed personal accident underwriter at Goshawk Insurance Holdings. Simmonds has over 20 years' experience in insurance and was previously class underwriter for accident and health at Cassidy Davis Syndicate 582.

CIGNA Healthcare
CIGNA Healthcare has announced the appointment of two new members to its sales team. Kate Wakefield is appointed healthcare services sales manager. She will spearhead the promotion of CIGNA's new sickness Absence Management service. Tobin Coles is appointed sales consultant for Large Corporate Medical. He will be responsible for promoting CIGNA's core medical business in London and the Thames Valley.

Ocaso
Ray Nichols is appointed business producer for new brokers and agencies at Spanish insurer Ocaso's London office. He will be responsible for building broker relationships and driving sales in the south of England.

BUPA International
BUPA International has appointed two new people to its broker support team. Duncan Craig and Mark Norman are appointed international business development managers. Craig joined BUPA in October 1988 and his most recent role was as a senior account manager within Corporate Sales. Norman joined BUPA in July 1997 and has worked as a team leader in the medical insurer's customer service claims department.

Zurich Specialties
Simon White is appointed environmental underwriter at Zurich Specialties London. He was previously based in the environmental underwriting unit at the American International Group. Zurich hopes his experience will enable the company to respond more assertively to the increasing environmental risk management needs of UK-based customers.

NIG
Anthony Lewis is appointed assistant personal lines underwriting manager at NIG. Lewis will be responsible for the development of the Private Car, Motor Cycle and Commercial Vehicles product lines. Alan Horemans has been promoted to fleet manager.

Clinicare
Jason Morris is appointed business development consultant at PNI provider, Clinicare. He will be responsible for the distribution of the Clinicare range of plans among supporting intermediaries, and through the development of relationships with a broader range of intermediaries in the South and Midlands. Morris was previously a business consultant for Norwich Union Healthcare.

Brockbank Syndicate Management
Rodney Clifford is appointed to the Board of Brockbank Syndicate Management, following a long and successful underwriting career at Lloyd's. He is replaced by his former deputy, Guy Landymore, who is promoted to cargo class underwriter for Syndicate 861. Steve Tebbutt continues to work with Guy as underwriting assistant.

The Leisure Consortium
Ben Kinder is appointed assistant underwriter, contingency for The Leisure Consortium at Lloyd's. The Consortium specialises in sports and leisure.

ERC Frankona
Louise Martin is appointed marketing analyst at life and health reinsurer, ERC Frankona. Her role will be to support the company's offshore products activities and to focus on opportunities linked to stakeholder pensions.

Letsure
Jacqui Mallin is appointed divisional operations manager in the Tenant Assessment service centre at Glasgow-based Letsure. She previously managed a specialist finance team at Nationwide.

BROKERS

Aon Group
John Hall is appointed director at Aon Group Limited Claims Consultancy. He has over 20 years' experience at senior level in the run-off management and claims management segments of the business. Hall will be responsible for marketing AGLCC's client-focused products.

Rapidinsure
Ian Beevis, Jeremy Morton and Bob Trinder are appointed to Rapidinsure's product development team. Beevis has over 10 years' experience in insurance broking and, in 1997, developed an internet-based online commercial quotation system. Morton has written a range of PI covers, including the SURVIS product for Chartwell. Trinder was previously product development and marketing manager of Zurich's Commercial Division.

PJ Frankland
Neil Chatburn is appointed director of Derby-based commercial brokers, PJ Frankland. He is an associate of the Chartered Insurance Institute and previously ran his own consultancy.

Clarke Roxburgh
Clarke Roxburgh has appointed two new account executives to join its commercial insurance division. Chris Davies will specialise in corporate risks and will be based in the Droitwich Spa office. Gordon Hazelton will handle property owners and managers from the Worcester office.

Law firm Addleshaw Booth & Co has appointed four new people to its litigation and dispute resolution team. Mike Grant is appointed litigation and dispute resolution partner. Michael Green is appointed senior assistant. He previously worked for Beachcroft Wansbrough and his expertise lies in insurance and reinsurance matters, both domestic and multijurisdictional, covering arbitration and litigation. Steven Gallagher and Stephanie Bennett are appointed specialist commercial litigators.

TECHNOLOGY

Eurobase
Keith Henley is appointed group and sales marketing director at software and consultancy supplier, Eurobase. Previously, he was director and general manager at Mitsubishi Electric's PC division. In his role at Eurobase he will be responsible for the sales and marketing activity associated with Eurobase's group of companies.

Liability specialists, The Quest Gates Partnership has appointed Leigh Lawrence, formerly of GAB Robins, as an adjuster at their Harrogate office. Derek Pearson is promoted to senior adjuster and will have a key role in ensuring compliance with specific performance contracts with insurer and broker clients.
