Kiln has appointed Andrew Hitchcox to the newly created post of chief actuary and risk officer.
Hitchcox held a similar position at Swiss Re UK.
Kiln said Hitchcox will develop Kiln's risk management approach, including taking responsibility for the company's catastrophe modelling capability and providing an actuarial perspective on its operations.
