Kirkland & Ellis has announced the appointment of Lyndon Norley, a well-respected insolvency and restructuring lawyer, as a partner in its London office. Norley will also head up the firm's UK-based insolvency practice.
Norley is joining the company from Cadwalader, Wickersham & Taft's London office where he has worked since 1997. He previously worked at Clifford Chance.
Senior partner Stuart L. Mills commented: "Lyndon's talents are well-known around The City and internationally. He has a long history of satisfied clients, and is at the top of his profession, having worked on some of the most complex restructurings in Europe and further afield.
"He has unique skills that I know will complement us well - especially given the growing trend for many transactions to include an element of restructuring."
