Residential lettings insurance specialist, Letsure, has appointed Manjit Kataora as its new in-house solicitor.

Kataora will cover landlord and tenant litigation providing an in-house service for the insured.

Kataora's legal team will represent both the landlords when recovering uninsured losses, and the insurer, when recovering any outlay resulting from tenants defaulting on their rental payments.

Brian Turney, managing director of Letsure, said: "Manjit will play a key role in the development of Letsure's in-house legal department.

"The combination of his insurance litigation experience and our existing expertise will enable us to help both landlords and insurers by bringing claims to a conclusion faster."
