Syndicate hosts a group of brokers and underwriters for a drive to the famous Sarthe Circuit

Ahead of the historic 24-hour race, to be held over the weekend of 16-17 June, Liberty Syndicates is hosting a group of brokers and underwriters from the Lloyd’s market for a drive in vintage cars to the famous Sarthe circuit.

The Le Mans Cavalcade has been running for 26 years and involves a group of 30 of the finest original Le Mans cars, as well as other cars of the Le Mans type.

The cars leave the UK on Thursday 14 June and will make their way through the glorious French countryside to Le Mans – a round trip of nearly 500 miles.

The highlight of their arrival is a parade lap of the circuit just before the start of the main race.

Two of the cars taking part warmed up for the trip with a drive to the Lloyd’s building to meet Geoffrey Lynch of Liberty Syndicates this week.

They were the 1926 Bentley 3 litre Le Mans Tourer and the 1953 OSCA Maserati MT4 - owned and driven by James Medcalf and Roger Earl (chairman of the Lloyd’s Motor Club) respectively.
