The Lloyd's syndicates SVB and CLM are to merge, creating one of the largest integrated Lloyd's vehicles. Aggregate managed capacity for 1999 is £363 million. However, the two syndicates will continue to operate separately. A statement said that the enlarged group is looking at acquisitions both within and outside Lloyd's.
