More than 500 homes and 50 commercial properties flooded in Todmorden, Yorkshire, this June could need at least seven weeks of drying out before they are ready for renovation work to begin, say Munters, the property restoration specialists.
More than three times the usual recorded rainfall fell on Todmorden, leaving some properties up to eight feet deep in flood water.
