Tony Griggs is joining chartered loss adjusters Miller Pycraft in a senior capacity on quality control issues. He joins the company from Axa where he held the position of manager, customer service development.

Quest gates
Duncan McKenzie has joined liability specialists the Quest Gates Partnership as an adjuster in its Harrogate office.

Insurers

DAS
Darren Weekes has been appointed development manager at the City of London office of legal expenses insurer DAS. He was previously sales consultant for the Thames Valley area for five years based in Bristol. Meanwhile, Alex Manning has been appointed broker account executive for Kent and the south east for DAS. He has nine years' experience in the underwriting department of the legal expenses insurer.

PAC Armstrong
Richard Loader has been appointed deputy liability underwriter for PAC Armstrong & Others, Syndicate 1242. Loader joins from GLR, where he has worked since 1994, to assist in the development of the UK liability account.

CNA Maritime
Mike Saunders has been appointed underwriter at the Kings Hill office of CNA Maritime. He has 35 years' experience in marine insurance, having spent his working life with General Accident and CGU.

ERC Frankona
John Titchener is joining ERC Frankona as the company's first in-house lawyer. He was previously at Willis International, where he was involved in overseas acquisitions.

Euler Trade Indemnity
Jonathan Roberts is joining credit insurer Euler Trade Indemnity as UK head of information technology. He was previously at Cable and Wireless where he was head of Service Development for the MCN/Global Markets channel.

St Paul International
Dr Susan Gough has been appointed as to the medico-legal advice team of St Paul International Insurance. She joins from the Medical Defence Union, having previously worked as a doctor in general practice.

Brokers

Alfred Blackmore
Malcolm Brebner is appointed a director of Alfred Blackmore's Healthcare team, based in Edinburgh. He will be responsible for the provision of tailored services to large corporate clients.

Roberts & Davis
Nick Hulyer, Judy Vincent and Sarah Horler are joining Newmarket-based brokers Roberts & Davis as commercial account executives. All three were formerly commercial underwriters with Axa Insurance in Haverhill. They join the expanding business development team.

Bollington Group
Lee Draycott has been appointed as information technology manager at the Bollington Group. Initially, he will be installing the latest Windows- and Citix-based products.

BRIT Insurance Holdings
Ken Culley is joining BRIT Insurance Holdings as a non-executive director. He previously spent 16 years with the Portman Building Society as chief executive and retired from the position at the end of 1999.

Sharon Lyons has been appointed director of strategic planning and marketing for CIGNA healthcare. She will manage CIGNA's marketing activity and product development. Lyons is a fellow of the Chartered Insurance Institute.

Technology

Eurobase
Kevin Smith has been appointed assistant technical director of financial services software firm Eurobase, provider of the Synergy underwriting system. Smith has 20 years' experience in the information technology sector and joined Eurobase in 1994 as a research and development project leader.
