Online marketplace Moneyextra-insurance this week won a deal to provide an insurance option for the customers of 4,500 of the UK's independent travel agents.
The contract will see Moneyextra's services linked to Traveleyed, a technology platform from software company X-tant that is widely used by travel agents.
Following the deal, Moneyextra will have a co-branded live link to the Traveleye menu that enables travel agents to gain access to the Moneyextra-insurance quotes site.
Moneyextra-insurance managing director Colin Jones said: "This demonstrates the flexibility of our general insurance trading platform. We hope to develop this distribution channel into a significant income stream and will continue to look for further business-to-business opportunities for our service."
