Marsh has announced the appointment of Stanislas Chapron as chief executive of Marsh France, following the retirement of Jean-Yves Durance.
The appointment will take effect from 1 July 2006.
Chapron joined Marsh France as director of its specialties division in 1995 and has been COO since February 2005.
During his leadership, Jean-Yves Durance oversaw significant changes to the business to improve its profitability and enhance its client service.
