Marsh has strengthened its private equity and mergers and acquisitions practice (PEMA) team in Manchester.

It has appointed project managers Allison Fairclough, Laura Reed and Louise Perry to develop bespoke transactional risk solutions for the deal community and forge links with the insurance marketplace.

The managers will report to Marsh regional leader Dominic Moody.

Alastair Burns, Marsh UK practice leader of PEMA, said: “Over the past three years, there has been an increase in private equity and mergers and acquisitions activity around the UK. Mergers and acquisitions is no longer a London-centric business practice.”

He added: “I am certain that Allison, Louise and Laura's expertise, combined with our existing capabilities and strong track record, will be key to expanding Marsh's commitment in the mergers and acquisitions sector around the UK.”
